Our Story
From One Truck to Nationwide Operations
It all started in 2005 when Johnny Martinez, a mechanic from Tampa, Florida, noticed how many people struggled to get rid of their old, broken-down vehicles. Dealerships wouldn’t take them, and junkyards offered pennies. So Johnny started his own operation — a single pickup truck, a phone, and a promise.
The promise was simple: fair prices, free towing, and zero hassle. Word spread fast. Within five years, Junk Car Johnny grew from one truck to a fleet of tow vehicles serving all of Florida. By 2015, we expanded nationwide.
Today, we’ve helped over 50,000 customers get fast cash for their junk vehicles — and we’re still driven by that same original promise Johnny made in his garage.
